Having passed the 50,000th hit here on the old ’skull, I thought I’d check in and see how everyone is enjoying the sounds so far and see if there’s any requests for styles or what you’d like to hear more or less of. Don’t forget to send me a mix if you feel it fits in – the more exclusive content I can gather, the better.
I’ve also switched to Sharebee for uploading my own mixes, as it’s nice and user friendly with more options for you.
OK – that’s it for now. I’ll keep on fighting the good fight as long as people are enjoying things here. Thanks for your patronage and I’ll see you on the flipside.
Meatskull.

Television Train was one of my favourite tunes of the past 12 months, so i was happy to see this DJ mix from one half of the duo who created it, Cage & Aviary.
“This weeks mix is a very tasty selection of disco, house and beyond by Jamie Paton who along with Nigel of Bermondsey make up of cage and aviary.
C & A (hey!) have been picking up plaudits for the their brilliantly louch sounds since they first appeared a couple of years ago. from releases on the white hot dissident label, astro lab and tiny sticks they recently got the ultimate rubber stamp when dfa licensed their excellent television train track. the future promises more great releases including a series of limited 12s on their own the wall have ears imprint. keep your ears close to the… wall for them. also jamie wanted to keep some of the tracks in this mix under his hat which explains the gaps in the tracklist below (listed as “cover up“). – via Allez Allez

Seattle’s Gel-Sol is producer/musician Andrew Reichel, whose dichotomous sound spans from ambient soundscapes to complex, rhythmic electronica, creating a dynamic psychedelic universe with heavy emphasis on improvisation.
In 2004, Gel-Sol released the critically-acclaimed Gel-Sol 1104 (aka Music Made For You…And By You, I Mean Me.) on the UK’s cult ambient label Em:t Records. Gel-Sol’s follow-up album Unifactor, released on Upstairs Recordings, continued the tradition of his unique, amorphous sound collages.
This is a sample-based collage made with over 7 years of collected samples. Visit http://gel-sol.blogspot.com/ for more downloads, such as Gel-Sol live shows and remixes.
