Here’s the second Okto-post of the day. This is the first in a series of 3 parts of one long dj set made during the morning of June 9, 2002 – the day after the night before. The scenario involved around a dozen horizontal bodies lazing around the Oktopad, sipping coffees and chatting/laughing while I spun these tunes on the turntables. Strictly a vinyl affair with no editing etc., these sets are from another time in my life that I recall with great affection, especially the people who were present on the day.
No tracklisting, but don’t let that scare you. It’s all pretty downbeat and genre hopping, and features a diverse range of artists including The Orb, Nick Drake, Red Snapper, Don Cherry, One Dove, Autechre, Alton Ellis, Fila Brazillia, Quincey Jones and so on and on.
